Clarke joins ABC News

Well, it seems Richard Clarke just got hired by ABC as a news analyst. I guess as soon as they realized his book was a sham, his claims fradulent, and his evidence already contradicted by the fact, they figure he had the makings of a journalist.

Oh, did I mention that they claim they're not wild-eyed raving leftist lunatics? Really. They claim that.

Comments

By the same logic NBC, which has hired former Bush administration official Anna Perez (communications director at National Security Council) to be their chief communications executive, are soon to become a bunch of wild-eyed raving rightist lunatics.

Dumbass.

Anna Perez never outed herself as as a politically motivated lying sack of shit in the spectacular fashion of Dick Clarke. As for this "...soon to become..." language -- the point pretty obviously is that ABC is *already* a liberal ship of fools. Nobody would complain about it if they'd 'fess up to it like grownups.

Dumbass.

You're right. There is no discernable difference between a media flack from a Republican administration continuing to work in the media and a former intelligence analyst who sold a controversial version of events to the media lionizing himself, and who then takes a job as a media analyst to report on an issue that where he has already taken a public and thoroughly debunked position. Nope. No difference there at all.

You are a leftist idiotarian, aren't you?

Well Cheney's Third,

Clarke's claims are turning out false, as this Seattle Times article makes clear.

There are Republicans and Democrats, and then there are liars. You should expect your newsroom to be filled both of the former, and none of the latter, unless of course the latter's lies happen to serve a particular political agenda *cough cough*.

"Anna Perez never outed herself as as a politically motivated lying sack of shit in the spectacular fashion of Dick Clarke"

I'd say the NSC and the Bush administration as a whole has revealed itself to be, collectively, a politically motivated lying sack of shit regarding the exaggerations and fabrications of all of those non-existent WMDs and mushroom clouds on the horizon. And the outing has been pretty spectacular, or haven't you been paying attention? As for Ms. Perez, yes, her role as a lying sack of shit has been less than spectacular.

Actually, "just got hired" is wrong. Clarke was under contract with ABC before he appeared before the 9/11 Commission.

It's an old post from April 8th, Roger.

And Cheney's Third, did you hear that Kadhaffi gave up his little mushroom cloud generators?

Posted by: George Turner at Apr 12, 2004 6:49:58 PM

We will have to remind histories revisionists above that it wasn't only Bush that thought Iraq had WMD, but Clinton, Clarke, and every other major intel service in the world.

Clarke spins the truth at an opportune time in the election year. He says himself that he is very political in his actions and it shows with his prepared answers to questions. Putting a liar like him on TV would be just as rediculous as putting a liar like Franken on the radio. Oh wait....

Mushroom clouds on the horizon? What mushroom clouds?

Posted by: thejones at Apr 13, 2004 2:44:58 AM

I tried really hard, thejones, to find the word "Iraq" in your linked article, which of course was the country Condi and Bush were referring to with their mushroom cloud comment, but it's just not there. Can you show me where it is? Oh, you say that the article talks about North Korea and Pakistan? Crap, looks like we invaded the wrong country! Whoops!

Ever play chess, Cheney? Sometimes you take a rook put the king in check.
